About the Editor
“The Travel Editor of The Telegraph has asked me to stay in a few hotels and write about them,” Paddy told me, “and take you!” I spent the next eighteen years as ‘my husband’, never named, driver, bag carrier and shower tester. When we had travelled enough motorway miles, slept in enough hotel beds and eaten in enough restaurants, Paddy and I decided that a website using journalists’ reviews to describe the hotels would be popular and useful. I am delighted you are a reader and hope that you might become a contributor by writing to us.Find out how Paddy Burt can help you Press & Media Centre

New website
20 July 2010
WE NOW HAVE A BRAND NEW, ALL ACTION WEBSITEFrom the home page you will have immediate access to the type of information you need that will help you look for somewhere to stay, that will appeal to you.To make it even more useful, we have collected and put out on display details of offers and news stories about the hotels and other places we list which we think you might find interesting.
We have tried to provide easy, one-step links to every part of the site from the homepage.
The content is unchanged; we still use journalists' reviews to tell you what the places are really like but there are also a lot more photographs.
The Editor's Blog will be updated frequently. It gives much more opportunity for discussion between us, the readers and the hoteliers, so please remember to bombard us with your comments and opinions.
We would particularly value your opinions on the website. Whether you tell us you like or dislike it, please try to give some reasons so that we know what changes we might need to make.
